Description

History???

"...The humans are dancing again...they always do. But....this time it seems...different. "
"What are these...lights on the earth. The stars belong up here, to me. Why..."
"They have forgotten me....they've...taken lightning from me. So be it...this must be the end."

The crow sits, solemn, silently watching the greying landscape. It feels the surging of lightning like blood through its veins, though the crow cannot form the thought in its absent mind. It just feels right.  It swallows the carrion in its beak and begins to peck at the wire it perches on. Sparks lick upward...its famished body invigorates, its feathers crackle and pop and the lights to a smal building dim for a moment.

The humans shed blood again. The lightning follows the victors. The crow raises its frayed, weak wings and makes a frenzied caw. Its blood surges, it feels emboldened, something is supposed to happen. But it doesn't. Not that the crow would know. It sees larger birds, unnatural ones like it, and flies away. It continues it's grimy, bloodstained existence.

A  tall human approaches, the crow feels something tickle at the edge of its conciousness. It senses....something....it needs it. The human lets it perch, and it is led away. They travel amongst the lightning laced land in silence.

Another one. Another one. Several. So many humans, they all have what it needs, but none supply. The crow tilts its head as it enters the room. It sees a short, big human in the floor. There's blood. The crow's feathers crackle and fray with excitement. This human, he has a lot. So much of what it needs, it can feel the surging of something powerful. The crow flies feebly to them. The human grabs it. The crow's wings flap frantically, the human makes sounds and runs their finger in blood and wipes it on the crow in a strange pattern. The pattern...feels....familiar. It's finally released, but something's....filling the crow. It feels that immaterial thing it needs, slowly trickle to it. It hops on the human and with its talons cuts something into their back. The thing it needs overtakes the crow in a flood.

At the edge of the crow's consciousness, it feels something stirring. A thought....an emotion? That something sparks, like lightning born from roiling clouds. It knows now. That soon this human will bring the stars and lightning back to it. It gazes at the the bloody human with an eerie parody of intelligence.

The human is overcome with things the crow should feel. The human cries, shouts, and grieves a loss they never had. Betrayal, shame, powerlessness, hunger......stubbornness.....hope. A name.

Personality:
Stubborn, Curious, Focused, Opportunistic, Likes to dance.
The feeble crow does what it needs to survive. It defiantly struggles through the hardships of feebleness and hunger with otherworldy determination. It uses guile even the sharpest animals don't possess to outwit predators and competition. It comes alive in times of violence and high energy, dancing and squawking its battlecry. It loves to see humans dance and hops around happily when they do so, it wants to give them something, but only Wakinyan can receive it. Deep within the fog over its mind, it laments its lost glory, but will find new ways to feel thunder boom from its wings. Ever the optimist, this crow.
